Volant air intake systems utilize a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed airflow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Volant's Cool Air box is larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air.
This model includes a MaxFlow 5 Oiled Filter for improved performance with the comfort of oiled filtration technology for those looking for horsepower.

I got this to help bring down AIT's in the Phoenix summer heat. I had a K&N system that brought in Engine heat. This helped but not completely. I wrapped the entire Volant system in peal and stick heat shield. This is what made the biggest difference. Still having an issue while sitting at a light but it's WAY better. Going to add a collector in the bumper and a brake duct line leading to the fender where the Volant system gets it's air from. Not sure what else I can do beyond that.
